High school sweethearts tying the knot

Lily & Casey had one of the most intimate, heartfelt weddings I’ve had the honor to capture. Having been friends of Lily’s parents for nearly a decade and photographing the family for years for various moments and milestones in their story, it was a joy when Lily and Casey asked me to now play this role in their wedding day photography and videography.

Lily and Casey were high school sweethearts who were ready to begin their life together in a wedding day that felt special and meaningful to them, surrounded by their closest friends and family. They chose a simple, quiet ceremony hosted at the family home in Clermont, FL on a bright, sunny spring day.

Lily’s preparations the morning of the wedding were filled with the laughter of friends, last-minute words of love and encouragement from grandmothers, and finishing her bridal look with her and Casey’s signature style: Converse shoes.

After a heartfelt first look with Mom and Dad, it was time. When Lily walked outside to the lanai where Casey was waiting, there was not a dry eye in sight!

Their reception was a loving gathering of their nearest and dearest inside the home as everyone cheered on the newlyweds and both families celebrated now becoming one.

After a sweet send-off with bubbles down the front sidewalk, I whisked Lily and Casey away to an intimate bridal session at Lake Louisa State Park, where they finally spent their first sweet moments together as husband and wife. Here, they shared their private vows to one another, out of earshot of everyone but themselves.
