Sofie & Donnie’s intimate wedding at The Cottage On Lake Fairview in Orlando, FL
Lakeside micro-wedding at The Cottage on Lake Fairview, Orlando, FL | Orlando Wedding Photographer & Wedding Videographer
I met Sofie and Donnie through a mutual photographer friend of mine, Zac Wolf. They were looking to do a small and intimate wedding in Orlando as Sofie originally comes from the Florida coast. We quickly connected really well and began to plan the intimate wedding ceremony. Their officiant, Rev. Glynn Ferguson of Sensational Ceremonies, came in clutch with an intimate venue on Lake Fairview called The Cottage on Lake Fairview in Orlando, FL.
The Cottage on Lake Fairview is a gorgeous intimate and unique wedding venue location in Orlando, FL. With a stunning outdoor lakeside wedding ceremony space right on the shores of Lake Fairview, this charming wedding venue is perfect for small or micro weddings in the Central Florida area. It also includes a bridal suite for getting ready before your wedding and a reception space for up to 150 guests. We absolutely loved the historic charm of this wedding location and can’t wait to go back!
All of us arrived in the early afternoon to get ready. The Cottage on Lake Fairview let us use their bridal suite where Sofie could get ready. It was there that we got to take some beautiful bridal portraits. The bridal suite exudes charm and classic cottage-core vibes, perfect for anyone who is looking to have a suite that has that late 1800s/early 1900s charm! I brought in Sofie’s mother to do a first look and the two got to share in such a sweet quite moment before all the festivities started.
Outside, Donnie was waiting for his bride and we got to have each of them exchange letters for them to read before the ceremony. As he read, he reflected on the journey that brought him and Sofie up to this moment and it was amazing to see his emotions that day as he got to stand with his closest friends and family as the ceremony started.
Rev. Glenn Ferguson was extremely professional during the wedding but also provided amazing officiating, making sure that the bride and groom both knew what was going to happen at every point of the ceremony while making it efficient, as we were basking under the bright Florida sun!
After the first kiss and the pronouncement of Donnie and Sofie being husband and wife, Donnie whisked his bride off back to the bridal suite where they shared a quite moment together away from their family and friends, reflecting on the fact that they are now husband and wife. I got them back with their families and began running through their family portraits, while they all laughed with me when I would make silly comments about what I said trying to get through the family portrait session as quickly as possible so that they could get to their reception dinner out in Winter Park.
Once family portraits were finished, we sent everyone except for Sofie and Donnie to do bridal portraits. Their love was clearly shown as they were just madly in love with each other over what they had just did, getting married in front of all their friends and family. We wrapped up the session really quickly and bid our goodbyes as they had to get to their wedding reception.
Congrats to Sofie and Donnie on getting married, thank you for letting us write a part of your love story!
